Application times and fees

The written-exam application periods open and close at 08:00 UK local time. Standard listed fees are £520 for UK centres and £696 for international centres. Hong Kong has different application and fee arrangements. Exam fees are separate from preparation courses.

PACES dates and fees

PACES is a clinical examination with dates and application arrangements that vary by centre and diet. Use the official PACES dates and fees page to confirm your location’s current options. Do not use a broad seasonal estimate as an application deadline or travel date.

Plan the exam sequence carefully

You need confirmation of a Part 1 pass before applying for Part 2 Written or PACES. After Part 1, those examinations can be taken in either order. Account for results dates and application windows when planning your next sitting.

For example, the January 2027 Part 1 result comes after the December 2026 application window for the February 2027 Part 2 exam. Those dates do not form a valid immediate progression route.

Turn an exam date into a study plan

Allow time for topic coverage, question review and timed practice. Use our Part 1 study guide or Part 2 study guide to plan an adaptable routine around work.

For a taught pathway with lectures, theory, question banks, revision and mocks, explore the Part 1 course or Part 2 course. Each course page links to a free trial and current batch availability.
